- What registration and scheme arrangements apply? Check national registration requirements and whether participation in a Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) or another compliance route is required.

- What must be reported, and when? Identify packaging categories, data requirements and reporting deadlines.
- How are fees calculated? Understand the relevant materials, quantities and environmental criteria.

EPR Germany and LUCID registration
EPR compliance in Germany starts with identifying your producer responsibilities and completing the relevant LUCID registration. The LUCID Packaging Register, known locally as the LUCID Verpackungsregister, is administered by the ZSVR. For packaging subject to system participation, a LUCID number alone is insufficient: a system participation agreement and packaging volume reporting are also needed.
